Getting Around

Castaway Cove™ is not within walking distance of shops, restaurants or entertainment, however there is a local bus service (Translink Route 620) running between Tewantin and Maroochydore which passes the resort. Click here to download the timetable.

There is also a 24 hr Taxi service available through Suncoast Cabs.

Castaway Cove™ is an agent for Noosa Bike Hire and bikes are available to hire from Reception (minimum 2 hours). The scenic coastal bike track which stretches from Noosa to Coolum passes right by the Resort.

The Noosa Cycling and Walking Map is available from Reception or for download from TravelSmart Sunshine Coast.

However, to enable you to get around and see the sights of the Sunshine Coast and make the most of your time, we do recommend the use of a hire car. We would be happy to arrange a car hire quote for you through a local company which has a large variety of hire cars with the best service and cheapest prices on the Sunshine Coast. Your vehicle can be delivered direct to Castaway Cove™ or picked up at Sunshine Coast Airport. Contact Reception to make a booking.

You can also make your own enquiry/booking through our Thrifty Car Rental link, particularly if you are arriving at Brisbane Airport.

4WD hire can also be arranged if you would like to explore Noosa's North Shore or Fraser Island.

You can still get to experience many of the local tours and attractions without a car as most tour operators have a door to door pick-up service.
